We introduced Dr. Jekyll & Mr. Hyde at our cannabis dispensary in Flatiron, Stoops NYC, couple of month ago.
It didn’t take long for it to start moving. People come back for this brand and I’ve had a lot of conversations with people after they’ve tried it.
What they liked. How it make them feel.
After trying their product line for myself, here’s my review on the Dr. Jekyll & Mr. Hyde flower line.
Quick Review on the Brand
Most people don’t come in asking for Dr. Jekyll & Mr. Hyde by name at first.
When they focus more on how a strain will make them feel – Relax but still be present, clear headed, etc – this is one of the brands I’ve been recommending lately.
It’s worth trying.
The biggest thing I’ve noticed is consistency across the whole line. The buds are dense. Fresh. Not dry, not crumbly.
They build each strain around a different effect, and you can actually feel the difference when you try them.
A lot of their strains lean dessert-style. Biscotti. Ice Cream Swirl.
Sweet, creamy, sometimes a little earthy on the back end. The aroma carries through when you smoke it. It’s not one of those where it smells good but doesn’t translate.
And the feedback from customers lines up with that.
People like that they know what they’re getting into. They know what to expect when they choose this brand.
If you’re someone who’s intentional about how you want you cannabis to make you feel this is a solid brand to start with.
The Best Dr. Jekyll & Mr. Hyde Strains
Wedding Cake
This is probably the best starting point out of the lineup.
You get a light mood lift first. Then it settles into a calm body feel.
Flavor is creamy, a little sweet, a little earthy. Smooth all the way through.
This one gets a lot of repeat buyers.
Biscotti
This is the one I usually point to when someone says they want to relax.
Biscotti leans more into body relaxation, but keeps your head clear. You can still hold a conversation. Still think straight. It just takes the edge off a little.
Flavor is exactly what you’d expect from the name. Sweet. Slight vanilla. A little nutty, earthy on the back end.
The people who come back for this one usually say the same thing.
“I felt good, but not out of it.”
Ice Cream Swirl
This one sits right in the middle. Not too relaxing. Not too uplifting.
People usually grab Ice Cream Swirl when they want something they can use during the day or early evening. You feel it, but it doesn’t take over.
The flavor stands out more here too. Sweet, creamy, almost like vanilla sugar.
It’s one of the better tasting ones in the lineup.
Vanilla Frosting
This is the lighter option.
Still smooth. Still in that dessert flavor lane. But not as loud as the others.
If someone says they don’t want anything too strong, this is usually where I take them.
The effect is more subtle. More controlled. You feel relaxed, but it doesn’t build too heavy.
Flavor is clean. Sweet vanilla. Easy to smoke.
This one works well for people easing into flower, or just looking for something low-key.
Which One Should You Try First
If you’re not sure where to start, go with Wedding Cake. It’s the most balanced.
If you want something a little lighter, go with Ice Cream Swirl.
If you want more relaxation, go with Biscotti.
If you want something subtle and easy, go with Vanilla Frosting.
That’s really how I’d break it down in-store.
What This Brand Does Better Than Most
A lot of brands look good on the shelf. Smell good too.
But once you try them, everything kind of blends together.
That’s not the case here.
Each strain actually feels different. You can tell what it’s meant to do. And it does it consistently.
The buds are always dense. Fresh.
And the flavor carries through. That sweet, dessert-style profile isn’t just on the smell, it shows up when you smoke it too.
Final Thoughts
This isn’t the loudest brand in the store. But it’s one people come back for.
Once someone finds the strain that works for them, they usually stick with it. Or at least stay within the line.
